Michael Sherrod, started his entrepreneurial career in 1977 by starting a publishing company. The company grew to encompass multiple publications, an advertising agency and a graphics company. In 1981, Michael sold the company and moved to Fort Worth, Texas. He then became a publisher of the Dallas Business Courier, National Advertising Manager for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and VP of Marketing for AMR Information Services Division. He then started NERRV, Inc. in 1994, an Internet application for trade magazines. After selling NERRV, he co-founded DigitalCity, which sold to AOL three years later. Michael later joined Ancestry.com managing the company's magazine and book publishing businesses. In 2008, he became the founding CEO of Examiner.com and in 18 months grew the company to a top 150 website. Not to mention, Michael is the TCU Neeley School of Business William M. Dickey Entrepreneur in Residence and is an active board member of The Urban Libraries Council, The Kinsey Institute and the Texas Tribune
