As a kid I did geometric string art pieces, macrame, "GROK" in 10" wooden letters, aluminum sand-casting, and later calligraphy, as well as several Erector Sets and Heathkit electronics. One of my fantasies has always been to design and sell cool t-shirts, so I have my eyes on the silk-screen and CNC (logo+) embroiderer classes, as well as the other CNC tools. I figure I'll attempt to 3d-model, analyze, and then make some custom seating and a custom shoulder bag to help relieve back pain, put a cool logo on them, and then put my favorite quote on my license plate frame. By then, I'll have a better idea of where I want to go next.
First, some useful things for me -- a better chair, shoulder bag, and laptop roller, to start. Eventually, something useful for my fellow Mars colonists. In between, anything that helps get us to ecological sustainability and social justice faster.
Most of the CNC tools, basic engineering stress analysis and related adjustments, 3d printing, and heavy fabric design and construction.
Collaboration and project delivery, and something related to CNC tools and workflow.
I'm a career systems engineer and business analyst, focusing now on web-centric project collaboration. For the last 8 years (part-time) I've been learning 3d modeling, graphics, and gamification, to better illuminate complex systems and processes.
