Are you interested in making your own interactive story, but unsure about how to get started? If so, look no further! This event is for you!
Ren'Py is a great introductory tool to create visual novels, which are a form of "choose your own adventure" stories that mix text and images. TVGS founder and game development veteran Jamey Stevenson will present a hands-on tutorial showing how to make a Ren'Py game.
This lesson is appropriate for participants of all ages and backgrounds. There is no prior experience required, and no need to feel daunted! Game development is incredibly fun and rewarding, and you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish in a short span of time using this simple, intuitive tools covered in this class.
If you decide to attend the class you will need to bring:
• Laptop with Ren'Py (http://www.renpy.org/) installed (available for free on Windows, Mac, & Linux)
• We also recommend installing Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/), a free art program that can be used to create images for your visual novel
