  • Nowadays, it's impossible to log on to Facebook without seeing at least one petition, political rant or link to a social justice blog trending on your timeline. With the rapid advances in technology we've seen over the past decade it's no surprise that the realm of activism has undergone major changes. Information sharing and organising alone have been transformed by social media sites like Facebook and Twitter and the voices of advocates amplified through online media like blogs and comics.

Has activism benefited from technology or has it caused long-lasting divides in our communities? Is it easier than ever to modify our lifestyles and advocate for our favourite cause or have some of us been left behind?

Join Ariel creator of the web app Bring Home The Vegan, on December 13th for a talk and discussion on how technology has shaped the face of modern activism.

    7pm ~ Lecture
    8pm ~ Discussion
