Bring your questions, and get ready to dive into the operations side of DevOps with your local tech community. Join us for food, drinks, networking, and discussion! 2. How do you see transitioning from a traditional IT Ops structure?
3. How is the “Ops” role being addressed?
4. Which teams are you focusing on for your DevOps adoption?
5. Are you absorbing everything into an automated toolchain/Software Development Life Cycle or will there still be multiple paths to production?
6. Is your company bringing forth best practices or are they allowing their own devops engineers to shape their own culture?
7. If everyone builds/chooses different stuff, who supports it all as personnel changes?

Joe is an IT professional with several decades of experience in the design, development, implementation, sales and marketing of enterprise solutions to Global 2000 organizations. Vijay Tatkar | Director, Oracle Management Cloud

Vijay is a Director of Product Management for Oracle Management Cloud. Vijay has over 29 years of industry experience, about 25+ years of those managing developers and development tools engineering. He has worked in, and managed, Developer Tools, Analyzers and Cloud computing tools in the past. Rapid changes in developer trends to DevOps, Microservices driven architectures and Cloud and making sense of the enormous amount of data generated has drawn Vijay to Oracle Systems & Security Management Cloud (OMC) In his time outside work, Vijay enjoys hiking the wonderful California landscape, music and is an avid fan of Cricket.

Robert Birnie | VP of Site Operations, ThreatMetrix

Robert is a VP of Operations at Threatmetrix where he manages the infrastructure, production engineering, and networking teams. He has been working in operations and IT since he was 16 and following DevOps closely since 2011. His current position has been the uphill battle of pushing through DevOps adoption at a company that became comfortable throwing things over a trans-pacific fence.

Kamal Kharrat | Senior Director and Cloud Architect, HeartFlow

Kamal Kharrat is Senior Director and Cloud Architect at Heartflow where he manages DevOps and Production IT Services. HeartFlow is a medical technology company transforming the way cardiovascular disease is diagnosed and treated. With over 25 years of experience, Kharrat is known as a change agent, innovator and architect transforming organizations from traditional development practices to a modern set of culture, principles, tools and processes.
