Phil Schlesinger has more than 20 years of experience working with computers. His passion for technology began in early childhood; he programmed in Logo in Kindergarten and in BASIC in the fourth grade.

Stemming from his love for technology at such a young age, Phil at first worked his way up to an IT Manager via stints in the financial, legal, semiconductor, and telecommunications industries. Then as his interest in information technology developed, Phil moved into web development for the VoIP, business printing, military, game, and real estate industries, primarily focusing on Java and PHP in both backend and middleware.

Currently Phil is the Software Development Manager at PICS, a contractor management and prequalification company located in Irvine, California.

Phil holds four degrees:

- From Pace University in Pleasantville, NY: a Bachelors of Business in Information Science and an Associates of Applied Science in Accounting

- From UC Irvine: a Bachelors and a Masters of Science in Information and Computer Science while simultaneously co-founding an autonomous vehicle research group as part of the DARPA Grand Challenge

When not involved in software development, Phil spends time with his wife and their nearly two-year-old twin sons -- and when he has a rare free moment, he makes wine, goes sailing, or attempts to play golf. He can be reached at [masked] and his LinkedIn profile is located at

Merely for my convenience (scheduling, so I can attach "notes-to-self" and comments to it later), I have created a Google+ Event stub for this:

You are free to add it:
