What we're about

***Please read****

This group is for anyone who enjoys techno music and wants to enjoy the great Techno nights and festivals on in Ireland. It's for people who can sometimes stop themselves going out because they have no-one to go with or think they are too old(you are never too old to go dancing). There is no pressure to hang around with each other all night; it is just to have a group to check in with during the night if that's all you want.
Looking forward to meeting people into the same music and dancing to tunes!

Perspectives: Pantha Du Prince – Conference of Trees

National Concert Hall

Techno with a bit of difference! I set it up as a Meetup because I went to Nils Frahm in the Barbican and other orchestra-techno events before and they are phenomenal. Tickets are here: https://www.nch.ie/Online/default.asp?doWork%3A%3AWScontent%3A%3AloadArticle=Load&BOparam%3A%3AWScontent%3A%3AloadArticle%3A%3Aarticle_id=A4BA3E00-A154-4395-9CC5-97577DC81CD5&fbclid=IwAR3lEyGWaiCUGW9Zt5PBNZsfSQGptr9BFOrhuJjp3-SXo0RJteQ5E9t-mrw#Tickets (little bit pricey but it is the National Concert Hall) ------------------------------------------------ In his latest project, techno artist Pantha Du Prince translates the communication of trees into a new electronic piece for ensemble of musicians in this immersive audio visual performance combining club culture, new music, visual poetry and speculative science. Hendrik Weber, aka Pantha Du Prince, is one of the popstars of the electronic music scene, and he definitely earned his fame. Born 1975 in Bad Wildungen, Germany, he developed a very unique signature sound over the years. Swirling synths, an always present melancholy and his trademark sound, the bells, all together form what is now known as Eiskristalltechno (Spex). His Albums This Bliss and Black Noise are widely considered to be two of the most beautiful electronic albums of the last years. Always stretching out to more experimental fields, Pantha Du Prince’s last collaboration was with Norwegian percussion group The Bell Laboratory with whom he appeared at the NCH. Conference of Trees will be released on Rough Trade in 2019. Conference of Trees is co-produced by the International Summer Festival at Kampnagel, the Barbican in London, the Kammerspiele in Munich and the Schauspielhaus Bochum.
