Thank you everyone who came out on Farther's Day for this meet up. There were some great projects showed off. We had a data logger, bioprinter, open source satellite members, and what could be called the smallest Arduino yet.

The techshop alternates between the beginner and expert meetup. About two weeks after this meetup there will be a beginner meetup at the techshop. If you are a experienced Java developer jumping into C development isn't difficult so the expert meetup might suit you better.

Is there any Arduino beginners meet up in SV area? I'm an experienced Android software engineer but a beginner on Arduino thus want to learn from basics.

Oops! Arthur, I just realized this is the "experts" meetup. I thought you were asking about the "beginners" meetup. Sorry!

All are welcome to this meetup. Please bring what you have in any working condition. This will be a great meeting for those who want to know more, looking for project ideas, are stuck or have created something and are willing to show it off.

There are a lot of amazing events such as the Red Bull Creation Competition and RoboGames that we want to get everyone aware of. SF TechShop participated last year in the Red Bull Creation Competition and did fairly well (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkUN0O34J7I).

The beginner meetup is all getting set up and figuring out what you can do with the Arduino, while the expert meetup will be more about working together on specific projects. We'll still have the hardware "giveaway" but the majority of the meeting will be about projects. Whether it is people bringing in projects they are working on or sharing ideas for new projects, the goal is to get people working and learning together.

So how "savvy" does one need to be for this meetup? I don't have an active project to bring.
