What do you want to make?

SJSU librarian Bernd Becker and I are co-teaching a new course for Summer: "LIBR 287 Smart Objects" The original concept came from: http://wp.nmc.org/horizon2009/chapters/smart-objects/ We further explored library implications in this conference presentation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZc-xqcMlQo and now grad students at MIT's Media Lab are sharing their work with us collaboratively: http://hlt.media.mit.edu/?p=795 We should have the syllabus up shortly. We are using the SparkFun Inventor's Kit and two free books: Banzi's Getting Started with Arduino from Make and Margolis's Arduino Cookbook from O'Reilly.

Introduction

I'm faculty at SJSU interested in teaching future librarians about the Maker movement.

What Jeremy K. is saying about this Meetup Group
