Cardio Tennis is a great way for players to get an AMAZING workout, socialize and enjoy tennis - all at once! A high energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with the cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout. A very social and fun class for players of all abilities and levels to train for tennis, this amazing workout is led by tennis pros and held on private courts at the Ritz Carlton, Marina del Rey. If you haven't joined us before, you must complete a registration tennis liability release form and secure your rsvp with a credit card. You will not be charged unless you participate in the class. Here is link to register: Evaluation for proper playing level is also necessary for classes for level 3.0 & 3.5 plus but can be done prior to the scheduled program. This class is offered at various times. Mon at 6:00 pm, Tue at 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Wed at 4:00 pm, Thurs at 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Fri at 9:00 am (3.0 plus), Sat 8:30 am (3.5 plus), 9:30 am (3.5 plus), and 10:30 am and 11:30 am (All Levels). This meetup group is here to connect and match up with other tennis players that play on a similar skill level and live close enough to get a match, class/clinic, or tennis related gathering to get some good tennis play in.


*Feel Free to post tennis events and meetings, but please include skill level and location. Be communicative and clear with players and change reservations accordingly should plans change. Be responsible and courteous to members in our See you on the courts!

Skill Levels:

1.0: This player is Just starting to play tennis.

1.5: Has limited experience and is still working primarily on getting the ball into play.

2.0: Has obvious stroke weaknesses but is familiar with basic positions for singles and doubles play.

2.5: Can sustain a short rally of slow pace with other players of the same ability.

3.0: Fairly consistent when hitting medium-paced shots, but is not comfortable with all strokes and lacks execution when trying for directional control, depth or power.

3.5: Has achieved improved stroke dependability with directional control on moderate shots, but still lacks depth and variety. Starting to exhibit more aggressive net play.

4.0: Has dependable strokes, including directional control and depth on both forehand and backhand sides on moderate shots, plus the ability to use lobs, overheads, approach shots and volleys with some success.

4.5:Starting to master the use of power and spins and beginning to handle pace, has sound footwork, can control depth of shots and is beginning to vary game plan according to opponents.

5.0: Has good shot anticipation and frequently has an outstanding shot or exceptional consistency around which a game may be structured.

5.5: Can vary strategies and styles of play in a competitive situation and hit dependable shots in a stress situation.

6.0: has obtained a sectional and /or national ranking.

6.5: has extensive satellite tournament experience.

7.0: makes his living from tournament prize money.
