It's officially spring, so let's get out and do something fun.  Never played tennis, no problem!  You'll learn the basics to stop hitting that tennis ball over the fence. Play tennis already? Then you'll learn even more tips to ace your opponent.

Throughout these sessions, you will learn/practice: Ground strokes, serving, volleys, overheads, lobs, footwork and strategies. Each session will focus on different aspects and will provide ample time to practice too! In addition to improving your game, you will also get to meet new people and have an enjoyable time. The sessions are both social and technique oriented.

This event has sold out quickly in the past, so please make sure you RSVP quickly.

DIRECTIONS BY SUBWAY - (Don't follow Google Directions)
1) Take the “A” Express or “1” Local train to 168st and Broadway stop.
2) Walk to 165st and Broadway and make a right on to Riverside Drive.
3) Make sure you cross the street and walk on the sidewalk of Riverside Drive going north.
4) If you see a Psychiatric Building on the left and see several overpasses in front of you, you are going in the proper direction, keep walking.
5) WALK ABOUT 50 YARDS….CROSSING THE MEDIANS AND STAY FOCUSED ON THE SIDEWALK AHEAD.
6) Once you have walked under the 3rd overpass that has a metal fence on the left you will reach the end of the sidewalk towards three “Do Not Enter” signs.. You will see a ramp where cars are exiting off the West Side Highway from and you will also see three “Wrong Way “signs on the left and one "Do Not Enter" on the right. This is referring to cars and this is the direction you want to take. Cross the median (exit ramp) and walk straight towards the second and third “Wrong Way” signs and you will see a walk path shortly thereafter in between these two signs. Take that path over a walkway bridge and when you go down the stairs make a right and continue following the path passing through some bushes and trees.
7) Go down the last set of stairs and make a right walking to the beautiful tennis courts with amazing views of the GW Bridge and River.
8) Walk past the first several courts and go to court #10. The court numbers are written on the inside of the tennis court fences.
9) Walk to the last courts, the ones that are closest to the Bridge.
10) It will take about 15-20 minutes to walk to the tennis courts so give yourself enough time and account for the weekend subway schedule.

Cancellation: I understand that things arise at the last minute. If your plans change, please adjust your response accordingly on the web site with 48 hours notice.  If it is an emergency and if you have control over it, please try to change your response ASAP so somebody else can sign up & attend. Please do not RSVP and just don’t show up; your courtesy is required.  I stress this point because the group’s success is absolutely dependent on the reliably of the individuals. If you are really unsure if you can make it, I would rather you not sign up, and then email me when you can make it.

Thanks so much! Looking forward to a great session
