What we're about

Tennis Nashville Meetup House Rules: We are a relaxed group of passionate tennis players.

1) Scheduling Meetups: All Tennis Nashville Meetup(TNM)members have new meetup event scheduling privileges. This is a great way to share our love of the game with other tennis enthusiasts.

2) Discussion Groups: All members can post messages in our Discussion group to see what other members are doing. Common courtesy standards apply and the meetup organizer reserves the right to remove any discussions or posts which are discourteous, disruptive, are solicitations, or have a subject not related to tennis or social events for members.

3) Trash on the tennis courts: Leave the courts in better condition than we found them.

4) RSVP: If you sign up, show up! We have a policy that after 3 no-shows (not canceling the RSVP, but failing to show up), an individual will be removed from our meetup.

5) Players will be cycled in for play, based on arrival time.

6) RSVP to Play: Meetup.com is organized to take advantage of an RSVP system that lets everyone know who is planning on attending.

7) Rules of Play: All members are encouraged to remember that this is friendly pickup tennis!

8) The purpose of joining TNM should be to look for opportunities to play with other tennis players. Anyone joining for the purpose of advertising any product or service, or for soliciting membership for any purposes not specifically approved by meetup organizers, is subject to being removed from Nashville Tennis Nashville Meetup membership.

Tennis Nashville Meetup is all about getting tennis enthusiasts in the Nashville/Middle TN area together for playing pickup mixed doubles and singles tennis! There are recurring meetups several days each week, where members at all levels are welcome to come play. We also have social meetups just to hang out and have some fun. Members are encouraged to create their own meet-ups to find members playing at their skill level. We invite you to join!

Upcoming events (4+)

Wednesdays at Richland. 4pm Open level!

Richland Park

Richland Park, Wednesdays at 4pm. RSVPs open 1 week ahead. We welcome players of all levels : )

We have ample balls, but I won't say no if you want to contribute stock to our strategic tennis ball reserves : D

Please note:

- We will play abbreviated sets of best-of-five games and rotate partners.

- We are now accommodating 10 players (2 courts + 2 players in rotation). We want to be nice and not take up all the courts.

- I usually show up a 20-30min before start to reserve courts and warm up. If you can show up early, do.

- Tennis Nashville Meetup has a policy that after 3 no-shows (RSVP and not showing up) the member will be expelled from the group.

- In the spirit of fairness, **do not cancel at the last minute**: it is effectively the same as a no-show. I'd recommend that any changes be made at the latest 24 hours in advance. Emergencies excepted, of course.

Saturday morning fun tennis at Granny White Park. Playing level 3.0 and up. Please bring a can of balls!

Saturday Morning Doubles at Hillwood (Competitive / Advanced Level, 3.5 & Up)

Saturday Morning Doubles at Hillwood is always competitive, yet relaxed and fun. Past players have all ranged from 3.5 to 4.5 in level of skill. We play abbreviated sets and rotate partners frequently in order to keep everyone on the court as much as possible.

This Meetup is set up for advanced and competitive play. Beginning players would likely find one of the other Meetups more enjoyable. Our regular players are at least 3.5's or able to compete at that level. Tennis Nashville does offer a lot of Meetups for beginning players. Please feel free to message me if you have questions about your playing level or other Meetups. I'm happy to help.
