Orpheus: Don't Look Back

Matthew Lehto has been apprehended and questioned at length. He indicates that the same force that orchestrated the attack on his previous crucible (Identity: <DATA EXPUNGED>) visited him in a dream and offered him 'salvation' if he would assist the entity's plans. Lehto took to murdering wealthy persons with possible competing interests in inheritances, pocketing finder's fees plus frequent kickbacks and giving the money to this entity, usually through a small group of ghosts (Tyrone "Dice" Walls, Frank "Tats" Wilkinson, Samuel "Skinz" Clemens. All deceased. Wilkinson and Clemens have been fumigated). The aims of this entity are unclear. It appears that the gangers were uneducated accomplices, barely aware of their own deaths. Lehto indicated that the controlling entity never reveals himself personally, and usually works through complicated networks of intermediaries--appearing in dreams if absolutely necessary. This last ability is of particular interest, as it possibly indicates the existence of other Horrors or Shades beyond the known five. Prospective workers are brought into the organization by word of mouth, but know very little other than that <DATA EXPUNGED> strength is inviolate and considerable. Lehto does not know what the money was for, but knew the gangers would kill him if he did not supply it. This has proven to be true.

As far as Orpheus Group is concerned, Matthew Lehto was killed in unrelated gang crimes. His spirit has been fumigated accordingly.

On a brighter note: Orpheus Group has been contracted to provide security services for a major financial firm (Goldberg-Rothstein Investment Services International). To celebrate our firm's good fortune, all non-assigned agents have been beached until Labor Day. Please join us for a day of sports, fun, food and drinks, to conclude with a reception (Business casual, open bar, hors d'oeuvres will be served) in the recreation room. We hope to see everyone there. Gifts and prizes will be given to all active agents.
