Welcome to the September MOT meetup.

This month we are delighted to be hosted by Travelport Digital, with an in-house speaker Seán Ryan.

Here is what Seán has to say:

"I have worked in test automation for almost 5 years on large scale distributed projects, mainly creating test tooling and building infrastructure for testers. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to be given the freedom to experiment, innovate and scale the way my teams test, introducing open-source technologies from automated deployment tools to monitoring to containerised testing environments.

Since changing company at the end of last year it has been an experience to dive into the mobile UI automation world, especially coming from an API testing background. Discovering just how difficult and time consuming the basics can be. In this talk I’ll discuss my experience in joining a company which relatively recently switched focus from manual QA to automation and my contributions to this effort. Writing UI and API frameworks, building an Appium / Selenium Grid from scratch, automating its deployment, integrating UI testing into CI/CD releases and all the mistakes made along the way."

Hope to see you all there,

Gus, Maria, Walter, Marco and Darryn.
