Brunch at the Beach: La Jolla Rock Bottom Restuarant & Brewery

                 RIDE RATING: INTERMEDIATE

           KSU 09:30AM  /  Ride Leader: Nina T.

Let's take a ride out of the heat, to the little neighborhood of La Jolla in San Diego. La Jolla is a hilly seaside community, 7 miles of curvy coastline along the Pacific Ocean

Our route will take us through Temecula's Indian reservations through Fallbrook, Oceanside and Carlsbad to arrive on the Coast Hwy 101, enjoying 20 miles of sun and sea. If we make good time and the group wants, we can continue before lunch , to La Jolla Cove, La Jolla Shores and the very popular Black's Beach.

Lunch this day will be at the Rock Bottom Resturant and Brewery. They brew their own beer plus they offer a 6 pac sampler for $6.00.

The menu is extensive, there is something for everyone, you might have a hard time deciding what to have!! There is Ahi and Chicken Waldorf Salad; house favorites include Lobster and Shrimp tacos and Tuscan Chicken Pasta.

There is also the traditional burger selections, Veggie, Southwest Turkey and a 2 am burger. Sandwiches include the Reuban and the Brewers Club, and a variety of Handmade Pizza,,,if you still have room there is dessert.

Our return route will include riding through Del Mar, and Escondido, on Champagne which becomes Historic Hwy 395 then Ca 76 Pala Rd, right back to where we began.

This is a non-freeway 69 mile  2hr one way scoot
