Anyone is welcome to join the trainees for a couple of hours. Just keep in mind it will be a slower pace.

*******PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL TRAINER OR HAVE MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE SO REMEMBER WHEN YOU COME OUT WITH ME AND THE GROUP IT IS RECOGNIZED THAT YOU HAVE READ ALL THE INFORMATION AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR SELF. I AM A VOLUNTEER ONLY!!********

*****  If anyone has a medical condition please get the okay from your Doctor and to tell someone if you have a condition that requires attention if something goes wrong on the trail!!  *****

This is a training session to help you increase your stamina, pace and  strength for those HILLS and to eventually complete an 8 - 15km + walk/hike.

A different park each month every Saturday at 10am is the plan for 2 hours. No matter what the weather (except extreme wind or a big downpour) if you are really interested in doing this.  Your goal is to complete as much of the area as you can in two hours.

It will be tough to start with but you will be surprised how quickly you can increase your ability by being consistent. You have to be diligent, honest with yourself and truly make an effort. Which means I won't always be able to be there with you but if the same area is done each month you still have variety and something to compare your abilities with. For instance it usually takes 2 - 2 1/2hrs to complete the whole of Aldergrove Park so don't expect to do that off the bat, that will be your goal. It can actually be done in less time than that but that is really fast paced but we want to also enjoy the park. ENJOYMENT IS THE KEY, YOU DO NOT WANT TO FEEL LIKE THIS IS TORTURE OR GRUNT WORK.

We want to breath, sweat a little, laugh and have fun. You may be sore but that passes and it should be a good hurt to let your body know that it is working but increasing gradually in strength

There will be hills involved so make sure you know what you can do. You can always turn back or go your own pace and we will meet up on the return. I think we can make it to Clearbrook Park area for the first hour and turn back there.
