This second annual commemorative concert combines the immortal words of Dr. King with music that compels us to stand, clap, and sing. Featuring Bel Canto Chorus and Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra.

Featured artwork – Inspiration II by Reginald K. Gee: Wisconsin-born artist, Reginald K. Gee, of both African and Native American descent, explores the theme of inspiration using Dr. King’s own words. The original, which was exhibited at the Smithsonian Museum in 1999 as part of a collection honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., along with a giclée print and a small collection of religious-themed original art works by Reginald K. Gee, will be on display at the concert, courtesy of the David Barnett Gallery.

It was great meeting everybody that came out last night. The Tribute to Dr King w/Bel Canto and the Mke Chamber was awesome. The performances by all was flawless and memorable. This is the 2nd annual event by this collaborative. This event will be on my calendar for the MLK Holiday.

charlotte, there is no contact, but i have the 10 tickets in my email. there is no charge for them. if you would like to share your phone number if you have a cell phone that would be great so others in the group can contact you. we generally just pick a spot and meet there. i had said to meet in the lobby.

I've a concert to play before this. I'm playing a Spanish Dance solo with a guitarist. It's an actual chamber music concert. Maybe I'll enter a meetup for it as well. Thanks for remembering Martin Luther King!
