THE SNOW DRAGON at the SKYLIGHT

Music and Libretto by Somtow Sucharitkul
Based on the book The Fallen Country by S.P. Somtow

Synopsis Summary A WORLD PREMIERE opera by award winning novelist and composer Somtow Sucharitkul. The Snow Dragon is the fantastical tale about a boy named Billy Binder who often escapes to an imaginary world of eternal snow, where he rides a dragon, fights monsters and rescues princesses. Unfortunately, it’s also ruled by the evil and omnipresent ‘Ringmaster’ and his whip. Billy feels no pain in this magical universe, unlike the real world he faces at home. The Snow Dragon is a classic tale of good vs. evil. Experience this amazing new work before it heads to Thailand for a special performance for His Majesty the King!

I enjoyed the theatre, but Frankly, I did not know who was with the group. I attended the pre-show talk and only met Jim, the man who told us about the pre-show talk on the blog. He suggested that a table of women in the bar might have been with Meetup. They were not. So sorry I didn't ask the people sitting around me. This has happened to me a number of times. Perhaps we should arrange a meeting at a particular place and time. Once I was able to eat dinner beforehand with someone. Doing that or agreeing on a time and place would be helpful.

Jim, Thanks for logging what's happening. What time is the free pre talk before the play? I was going to ask if anyone would like to eat down there before the performance. Now I'm interested in the free pre talk before the play. Still, would anyone like to eat together, either before the talk or after the performance? Eating afterward is probably more feasible. Then no time crunch and we could eat more leisurely and discuss the play.
