This class is suitable for all ages and abilities. The style of Yoga Exercise we teach is usually referred to as Classical Hatha Yoga. The exercises are safe, effective, and adaptable to the individual student. This practice includes increasing awareness of the body, deep breathing, alignment, balance, strengthening, toning, stretching, and relaxation. Yoga Meditation is also integrated into each class. Students with injuries or other limitations are welcome. Please let us know if you have any questions. Below are a few guidelines for these classes.
RSVP: Before your first class, please RSVP no later than the day before the class you want to attend. After you've come once, RSVP is appreciated any time before class, either through MeetUp or by phone, text, or email.
ONGOING CLASS ATTENDANCE: Yoga Exercise is most effective when practiced regularly. Come as often as you can.
WHAT TO BRING: A mat; a thick towel, blanket, or rug; and water.
WHAT TO WEAR: Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. Wear layers when it's cold so that you can adjust your clothing as you warm up and cool down. Please refrain from wearing perfume and other fragrances.
COST: $15 per class. We accept cash or checks (made out to Yoga Meditation Group). Pay as you go or pay ahead, whatever is easier for you. (4-class series is $55; 8-class series is $100. Series are good for 3 months.)
SPECIAL LOCATION: Just for Dec 2 & Dec 9, class will be held at Haven House, 11200 Powder Mill Trail, 78750.
