What we're about

I decided to start this group because I enjoy meeting new folks and sharing what I have learned as a custom furniture maker for 38 years. The purpose of the group is to introduce interested people to the art of woodworking and to advance the skills of those with experience. Anyone who ever dreamed of making things with thier hands is encouraged to visit.

This is an unstructured D.I.Y. open shop session. It is a great for beginners or experienced folks wanting to advance their skills. Led by Robert Galusha an award winning furniture designer, the sessions are limited to 6 artisans, affording very close guidance in your exploration of the craft. There are 2 slots open this week and first timers get a 50% discount for the 5 hour session. Some materials are available but for larger projects you may want to bring your own. It is necessary that you call Robert @[masked] to discuss your goals and needs prior to the session.

New Woodworker Group

De Vos Custom Woodworking

Mr. Daniel Vos, owner of DeVos Custom Woodworking will be the speaker. DeVos Custom Woodworking is a small family business and has been designing and building custom furniture and countertops for more than 20 years. They do not mass produce products. Each piece they make is individually hand crafted. You will not want to miss this meeting. The shop is amazing and the woodworking is incredible. Please bring your own chair for seating. I’ll be bringing a couple of campers’ chairs. Since we are meeting in a professional shop, we will not be serving any refreshments. There is no cost to attend. Please RSVP a couple of days before the meeting if possible at: [masked] or text[masked]. If you’ve already RSVPed, there is no need to RSVP again. The club will meet on the last Thursday of every month at 7:00pm. Let me know if you’d like to be removed from the contact list. Thanks, and I hope you can attend. Vance Short
