What we're about

The Big Sing Choirs are community based choirs open for all - Our 'PRO' Choirs are for those who want to explore singing a bit deeper! For intermediate & advanced singers who desire weekly training from our expert tutors!

The Big Sing:London Voices, is a mixed advanced-level choir with a passion for making music! Our repertoire is diverse, running the gamut from Motown greats like Marvin Gaye, Al Green and Stevie Wonder right through to contemporary pop artists like Kings of Leon, Bruno Mars, Emeli Sande, Coldplay and Florence and the Machine, to name but a few.

Since its birth in the Spring of 2012 the choir has frequently performed at both public and paid-for events including The Roundhouse, The Royal Festival Hall, King’s Place, and at year-round festivals like Primrose Hill Christmas Fair, Hampstead Summer Fair, Queens Park Day, The Southbank, Spitalfields Market and Chelsea Farmer’s Market. Additionally, we've curated an Oxjam fund-raising event, recorded material in a music studio and competed in the Manchester Amateur Choral Competition 2013.

The BIG sing:Gospel Voices perform a range of Gospel music from classic Gospel songs to modern. They also mix their repertoire with pop, Motown and soul music with a Gospel edge! We rehearse every tuesday 7-9pm. We perform at various events throughout the year around London and Essex. Past performances include singing on the Charlton Athletic football pitch before and half way through a charity football festival, church concerts, Christmas concerts and many others!

So you'd like to join us?

Maybe you have experience singing as a soloist or in groups, or perhaps you participate in Open Mic events. Whilst it isn't necessary to be able to sight-read, we expect you to be able to sing in key, harmonise with others and to keep rhythm. We work hard in our 2-hour weekly rehearsals and regularly perform, and we’ll expect you to attend the majority of rehearsals and performances.

If you think our choir is for you, why not join one of our Open Sessions where you can observe how things run and join us in some singing. Simply click the "Join" button, and we will get in touch with you with further information.
