Transgender Day of Remembrance Candlelight Vigil and Memorial
The Transgender Day of Remembrance was set aside to memorialize those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. The event is held in November to honor Rita Hester, whose murder on November 28th, 1998 kicked off the Remembering Our Dead web project and a San Francisco candlelight vigil in 1999. Rita Hester’s murder — like most anti-transgender murder cases — has yet to be solved. More event details can be found at this link:

What we're about

We do not accept membership requests from male admirers. This is not a hookup group.

If you are interested in joining our group, please be sure that you have a clear en femme pic of yourself that also shows your face. Our members have asked us to establish this standard for their safety as well as being able to recognize other members who attend events. We do not accept pics with avatars, cartoons, pet pics, flower pics, etc. Your profile pic must be you.

This is the central group in the Baltimore regional area for transgender women, cross dressers, and transsexuals, their partners, families, allies and friends, as well as cis women and lesbians who wish to socialize with trans women. We come together to socialize, network, learn, and grow in trans friendly venues. And YES, we love makeup! So whatever interests or needs that you have, you should be able to find it in joining us here.

This is a community run site where the different trans and allies, individuals and groups, in the metro area post their events and activities. And if you are going out and would like others to join in, post it here. This is one place where trans women can find out what is happening.

We post safe, mutually supportive, and non-political events such as Soiree's, dinning, dancing, clubs, shopping, educational, intellectual and other social pursuits. The broad range of social and intellectual events posted here are wonderful opportunities to dress up and have fun, socialize, build friendships, share, explore, expand, and celebrate our femininity together in safe and enjoyable settings. This community is also an opportunity for trans women to discover, explore, and integrate their feminine side, and learn about cross dressing, being bi-gender, or transsexual. We offer trainings and support so that you can begin making strides in developing and comfortably expressing your natural feminine side. Makeup sessions, makeup lessons, just hanging out, girl time, maybe having some wine, for trans, cis, and all LGBTQ friendly people in general!

We are a sister group of The D.C. Area Transgender Ladies Socials and Events (DCATS), and The DC Regional Trans Ladies’ Community meetups. We also attend Meetup events with the Baltimore Area LGBT Happy Hours, The Rappahannock Region Transgender Group, and Beauty and Fashion Junkies (DMV) Meetup groups.
