Dursley Walk

Hello,

Who fancies coming for the Dursley Walk - Sunday 6 April 2014? A pleasant walk exploring the hills and forest by Dursley, with some far-reaching views to the South West, lasting about an hour and a half. Even though this is a relatively short walk, there are many slopes, some of them steep, so I wouldn't advise anyone of fragile disposition to come.

Start point - Rednock Drive, next to Rednock School at 11am. O/S Map 162 grid ref ST 754 986. We might try for a pub lunch at the Gloucester Old Spot afterwards. Directions: A38 north out of Bristol, past Thornbury, Stone and Newport. Right turn on to the B4066, follow signs for Dursley. Right turn on to the A4135, which is the main road into Dursley. Rednock School is on your left - just past it is the left turn into Rednock Drive.

Bring drinking water, waterproof clothing, walking boots, & money for pub. Please let me know if you are come on the walk. All walkers attend at their own risk All the best [masked]

Thanks for coming everyone, especially Prakash, who has given me the advice I needed to get this computer up and running again. See you all for the North Nibley walk on the 25th of May if you can make it.

Hi I want to come for this walk but have no way of getting to the starting point - Rednock drive. I will be super grateful if anyone can offer a lift? I live near Whiteladies road. I can come to a location and meet within Bristol.

    Thank you.

Hi all. My computer won't let me login so I will only be responding from time to time when I visit the library. The walk will go ahead regardless, so if you have just joined or left it, hello see you on Sunday, or goodbye, hope you have fun doing your other thing.

Hi all. The denial of service attacks seem to be intermittently affecting us so I suggest making a quill and parchment record of the start time and location just in case the event isn't visible on the day.

    Are dogs welcome?

Sure. This walk doesn't go near any farms or cattle.
