The Bristol Vintage Bus Groups 2014 rally in conjunction with the Avon Valley Railway will take place on Sunday 10th August.
There will be a static display of buses and vintage cars at Brislington Park and Ride site (just off the A4 between Bristol and Bath), and free vintage bus services to numerous locations around the city, out into the surrounding countryside and to Bath.
A free shuttle bus service will run to the Avon Valley Railway, where steam trains run that also connect with boat trips on the river Avon.
Free connecting services will run to and from Bristol Temple Meads and Keynsham stations.
This is a difficult event to host as the bus trips are best taken in small groups however we could nominate a pub to meet up at say 4.00pm for a drink etc.
The Lodekka on the A4 is close by and is a cheap and cheerful Hungry Horse pub so might be suitable--especially as it is named after a type of double decker bus made in Brislington in the 1950s and 60s.
