Special Collections will be doing some amazing Friday pop-ups. Hands-on display of rare, unusual and historical titles.
Park in the surface street visitors lot, Lot #62W (99 Red Cedar Road, East Lansing). Pay by plate by the hour. Use the footbridge, walk over the beautiful Red Cedar River, enter MSU Library doors straight ahead.
A bestiary was a medieval book of beasts. These were often rendered as illuminated texts in Northern Europe during the Middle Ages.
One of the treasures you will see at MSU is Anatome Animalium (1681) Gerardus Blasius, the first work of comparative zoology.
