About:

During the Vietnam War, Joann Kotcher, one of the first women allowed behind enemy lines, served beside soldiers as a Red Cross Donut Dolly.

Unlike nurses, "Donut Dollies" had neutral status, no military restrictions, and were designed to bring a "touch of home" to the soldiers. Joann's adventures were unparalleled! From fox holes to bunkers, she dodged death 6 times.
