I just fancied going on a walk round the big lake (Waterloo) in Roundhay park with a few other Ramblers. We start off at the gates and walk down to the lake. This a mild descent that is over concrete. We then cross a car park and walk in front of the lakes cafe.
We will then ramble round the lake at a gentle pace taking in the scenery as we go.
The terrain is a little rough in places but buggies and push chairs are taken round daily.
You don't need walking boots just good sturdy foot wear will do.
Dogs are fine but should be kept under control.
The walk is approx 3 miles in all.
When we have staggered round the lake we will drag each other back up the mild incline back to the gates and home. ( Only joking) its a nice easy walk and I don't intend to do it at a fast pace.
Hope to see you there. from Janet
