Facebook profiles and pages

Hi everyone,

Have been asked a question by an associate of mine for which I haven't really been able to come up with a good answer for because I just don't think it is possible. Anyway here goes.

Long time ago, he made his personal profile and then merged it with his business stuff (FretFest) before we were able to make Facebook pages. He did not make the changeover to pages when it was introduced and kept going at it with his own profile, mixing business and personal (yeah messy I know).

Now when he is contemplating selling the business, he also does not want to lose his own Facebook profile nor does he want to have to recreate all the business content that was on there from quite a few many years ago. He's having a frustrating time contacting Facebook about this (I told him he really has 'buckleys' chance of anyone at Facebook actually giving a hoot). I really don't know what to recommend. I don't think there is anyway you could export out data/information out of a Facebook profile and plug it into a newly created page is there (thinking like Wordpress exporting XML files here). Or the opposite of that being to export all the personal stuff out of it and create a new FB profile with his real name on it.

I can't go further than this myself. This guy is actually looking for a Social Media professional that could help him out and even prepared to engage them for paid work.

Regards,
Ryan Archer
