Regular Open Meeting of the AMG (discussion of Burlington Mini Maker Faire)

Its time again to meet for our regular 2nd Thursday open meeting of the Alamance Makers Guild.

As always we'll have Pizza from MiMi's Pizza Buffet Style ($5 for those who wish to eat with us).

We'll also do our regular show-n-tell for folks projects and ideas.

We don't have a special guest speaker or special event planned for this meeting but we will be doing some planning for the 2013 Burlington Mini Maker Faire. I'll report on our progress so far, talk to folks about their ideas for exhibits and displays, ask for volunteers for various tasks before and on the day of the event. We'll also talk about the recent Maker Faire NC and our very successful exhibit there!

As always this is an open meeting, and all are welcome to attend, new folks, friends and family, as well as any of you lurkers out there who have been watching our group but who haven't yet made it out to a meeting.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Important: If you haven't gone yet, please check out our 2013 Burlington Mini Maker Faire website at: http://burlingtonminimakerfaire.com (thanks to Ilsa Spaan and Danny Oakley for all of your help to get this launched on schedule!)

Good! It was nice to get back to talking about possible permanent locations and what everyone is doing. The seminars we've had in the past were nice, but it is good to break that up so that we don't do the same thing (like Mimi's Pizza) every time... :-)
