We are very fortunate to have James Duxbury on hand to speak with us at our October Meeting. James lives in Graham NC, is a master craftsman and wood turner, and he's also an inventor.

Jim makes amazing Kaleidoscopes (valued between $3,000 and $10,000) and has also designed and patented a new kind of respirator for workshops for people with beards, and that will work under a full face mask, and that doesn't fog up glasses or face shields! His workshop is filled with innovations and inventions to solve problems and improve his workflow. (thanks to AMG Member Nim Batchelor for connecting us!)

Jim's website is at:

I've posted annotated photos of his workshop and his creations on our Facebook Page at:

As always we'll have show-n-tell, so bring your projects (artistic or technical, finished or in progress, ideas or photos) to show off to the group.

We'll have MiMi's Pizza for dinner ($5 per person buffet style for those who wish to join us for dinner, please RSVP so we'll have an accurate count for dinner).

We start with dinner promptly at 7:00 and will start talking promptly at 7:20 so that folks who have to leave early can hear all of the presentation. Please be on time and ready to go!

As always AMG open meetings are free, open to the public, family friendly (teens and accompanied children are encouraged!) Be ready to see some amazing projects and hear some really cool stories!

Hope to see as many of you there as possible!
