Thanks Michelle and Rebecca for sharing your work. Enjoyed talking about poetry with you all. And thanks, Amanda, for leading us. Great job.

Yor written response was extremely helpful. As soon as I got home I started switching my poems to "she" instead of "I" and it gave the poems a different energy, more of a story less of a journal feel. I look forward to learning more about developing the craft in my poetry while still using it as an outlet for intense feelings. I hope we meet again at another workshop :)

Glad the comments helped a bit, Michelle. Some of the best advice I've gotten is to play more with my work, especially when it's not quite where I want it to be: put it into traditional forms, use traditional meter, force a rhyme scheme, and such, all things I probably won't keep in the poem, but which give me a different sense of and separate me somewhat from my own work so I can accomplish what I want to with it. Hope to see you again and to read more of your work.

Everyone in the family is feeling under the weather, so I don't think I'll be able to make it tomorrow. Canceling now so someone can take my spot if they'd like. Thanks.

How do I just download and print the files for the writers in this workshop? When I click more tons of files come up but I haven't found any that have a specific date.
