For this retreat, writers will neglect everything and lock in to just write, glue themselves to their chairs, eat pretzels, run up and down the stairs, take bathroom breaks…that’s it. We'll have use of both the BWW's regular studio space as well as the building's conference room to spread ourselves out so we can comfortably dive into our work.
This will appeal to writers who are deeply immersed in a particular work and don’t want the distraction of prompts, feedback or direction from leaders. Also for anyone feeling like they don't have time to write due to life's many distractions, as well as writers who just want to get out of the house and not into a bar.
Curious about what well-known writers think they're doing when they're writing?
Or specifically what George Saunders thought he was doing when writing Lincoln In The Bardo?
