In person Early Voting Starts today in all NC counties. NC DOES NOT have a Voter ID Law but, bring ID in case you are challenged. If you aren't registered to vote or have recently moved you can register in person until Saturday Nov 3rd. (No registration on Election Day). On ELECTION DAY go to your polling station 6:30 am to 7:30 pm. If you don't know where your polling place is check with the Orange Co. Board of Elections or the State Board of Elections. Remember you may have been impacted by redistricting.

Orange County also has the 1/2 Cent Sales Tax Transit Referendum on the ballot. If passed, the County will investments in public transportation such as: New & enhanced bus service, Express bus lane improvements on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Hillsborough Amtrak rail station, and Light rail connection from UNC to Duke & downtown Durham. This will match Durham Co Transit Tax passed last year. Please take the time to vote on this important issue. (One the back of the ballot.)

Google the issues that are important to you or check the Independent Weekly. I have used their voting guide for years. Good luck. Amy J
