Important! - What's happening this Summer at the Italian Table!

Ciao a Tutti!

This is our “Summer Kick Off” weekly update so you may want to scan this one carefully!

1. Social Meet-ups

a. You can find them all at . Our next event is the Bocce Tournament Fundraiser this Saturday. You still have time to sign up and I hope you do! I am sure it will be a blast! I have also added more events to the summer calendar, we now have 10 events on the schedule and we have some good ones! 2 of them are already almost full so we I wouldn’t wait too long. Among them we have a pool party, a nice Italian restaurant, A beach gathering/picnic, An all Italian dinner (total immersion) and more. You can see them all by going to: to see what is available. Remember, if the event you wish to attend is full, put your name on the waiting list, things happen and spots do open up.

2. Learning Italian

a. The new beginner class scheduled to start on the 16th, a week from Saturday is almost full so if you were considering taking it, I would sign up soon. There will be an active waiting list on that class. If you are interested and it is full it is important that you add your name to the waiting list. This is because in the event there were enough people on the waiting list we would know to start another class. I will be emailing studying instructions to those who signed up this weekend.

b. I have also decided to offer some 6 week mini courses (if there is enough interest) that will start in July and end in August for those who wish to continue learning Italian until the new 12 week classes start in September. There are four possible classes that could be taught ranging from something for the complete beginner to something for the ones who know a little bit of Italian. I need your help here, I have posted all of the possibilities online at . These are polls where you can vote on which classes you would like to see taught in your area. You can vote on more than one if you like. Your input really is important to me and does determine what is taught where. It also gives me an indication of whether or not there is enough interest to even consider holding these classes. In addition, there is a poll asking if anybody would like to see a class held during the day on a weekday (for those who work at night, etc) and another poll seeing if anybody is interested in a regular (weekly) morning get together for coffee and Italian. I hate to sound like I am begging and if you are not interested in taking a class then these polls aren’t for you but if you are interested in a workshop I would really appreciate it if you went to and voted on any poll that is applicable to what you want to do. It really does help me know what direction to go in.

Finally, we had a record number of people taking one or two private tutoring sessions to either make up for classes that they missed or to help clear up something that was not clear to them in preparation for the new classes. Up until just recently my schedule was much more restricted and we weren’t able to accommodate everybody. Now I have much more time to devote to tutoring so if you are interested please email me at [address removed] Please also feel free to email me with any questions about the upcoming workshops/classes.

Ci vediamo presto!
