Festa Italiana Saturday! - Azalea Park

From: Erin
Sent on: Saturday, April 26, 2014 3:30 AM

Ciao all!

Festa Saturday!:

The 2nd annual Italian Festival is tomorrow! Come to Azalea Park in Summerville between 11 am – 8 pm for food, drink, entertainment, crafts, and much more! All lovers of Italian culture should definitely come by. Find some info on the Festa website.

Summertime Classes?:

Springtime classes are soon drawing to a close. The next round of classes will start in the summer. Instead of putting up a poll, I will just ask that if you’re looking for a particular class, email me (reply to this) what you’re interested in. Shannon & I can’t accommodate everyone but we will try our best.

I’ve also gotten some interest in a possible wine course, so I will keep y’all informed!

Coming up:

Just scheduled: the “La Grande Bellezza”-themed Italian film festival fundraiser party on Thu May 8th from 5:30-8:30 at the College of Charleston. Last year’s event was stylish & fun, featuring a silent auction, food & drink, and entertainment. This year will also be a good time! Get details here (RSVP not necessary, but you can RSVP to let others know you’re coming).

Our second Wine & Talk will be at The Wine Bar in Mt Pleasant on Thursday, May 15th from 6-8. This wine bar – formerly called Uncorked – has wine, beer, chocolate, and other small plates. We may or may not have a wine tasting – I will give more details closer to the time. Otherwise, feel free to drop in after work for 20 minutes or 2 hours. It’s up to you. It’s a chance to speak Italian in a very supportive environment. RSVP here.

*You can always write me through or you can email me at [address removed].

*Navigate the Italian group’s meetup site more easily: there is a dedicated page listing all upcoming and current classes and one listing upcoming social events.
