New Years Day Charleston Harbor Paddle

  • to
  • Melton Peter Demetre Park

640 Wampler Dr, Charleston, SC (map)

    32.751602 -79.914879

  • Start the New Year off right with a fun paddle on the Charleston harbor.

Meet at Sunrise Park / Demitre Park on James Island at 11:00 a.m.

We'll cross the harbor towards Castle Pinkney and then on to a secret landing spot near the Charleston Battery.

From there we'll cruise along the Battery taking in the sights before plotting a course back across the harbor.

    Return around 2:30 pm.

This is a Meetup paddle.  All kayakers are paddling at their own risk and responsible for their own safety.  Due to the open water nature of this trip, sea kayaks of least 16 feet with sprayskirts are required. Paddlers will also need to be properly dressed for conditions.  Lifejackets must be worn properly fitted.

Please call the shop for addition info.

At the moment I only have a 12 foot boat - is this event one where i can rent a bigger one with a sprayskirt?
