Good morning, happy Monday, and happy April! (The biggest month of the year for kayaking in Charleston!)
A group of 5 paddlers took a chance with the weather and were rewarded with a spectacular trip from the Edisto Marina to Otter Island. "Cetus Mike" posted just a few cool photos here. (Warning - graphic content and not for the squeamish!)
Lots of stuff coming up this week:
Wednesday evening, April 4 - There is ONE space left for the fun and free knot tying class.
Thursday evening, April 5 - On-water Towing Clinic. This clinic is fun, and in my opinion a must for paddlers of all different levels of experience and abilities. It only cost 20 bucks... why not call and register today to learn and refine what can be a critical skill for all paddlers? [masked]
All day Saturday, April 7 - Spring Kayak Swap Meet! Bring used kayaks and outdoor gear, price it, and collect your cash afterward. You can drop your stuff off this week Wednesday - Friday from 10-6; or bring it to the swap meet first thing Saturday morning. We're expecting a big crowd. In addition to all the great things about the swap meet, we are expecting musician and kayaker Laura Thurston to provide live music from noon - 3! And don't forget Dogfish Don's free on-land towbelt and towbelt customization clinics!
And if that's not enough, finish off the week with a Sunday afternoon Easter Meetup trip to Deveaux Bank!
Hope to see you at the shop; and on the water soon!
