Vernalisa: This is why I prefer potlucks in the house! I have had the same problem with members years ago, I know what you are going through. Life just gets in the way for some folks, it's a bummer. I tell you what, to make your life less stressful with your beautiful home parties, I will come earlier on the 2nd of February to give you a hand, hopefully someone else will volunteer to help you after the party, and we take it from here. A potluck is such fun, you just need assured help before and after each event, a hostess really has a lot of work..... I know.

Another last minute cancellation this drives me crazy .Some members are habitable cancelers last minute. How am I suppose to run a group when I cannot have faith in members who say they will come and then last minute cancel. The resturants add more staff on and prepare more food on my word makes me look bad.I will start deleting memberships because of this.,

    Dear Vernalisa:

In another email you asked your members to help with Venues and events. I was thinking - Since I have monthly Meetups myself with 'Victorian High Tea' potlucks, you and your ladies are more than welcome to join us every once in a while. Our tea is now in and outdoors in a charming Victorian setting. Sorry, it is LADIES ONLY!

Maybe a gentleman in your group wants to create a sports & burger weekend for the guys, the same weekend of the high tea. Just a thought.

    Cheers, Trudy****

Oh Vernalisa, I am so honored to be able to call you my friend!
Also, I SO AGREE WITH YOU, FOOD IS IMPORTANT, BUT PRIORITIES OF THE RIGHT COMPANY IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT, indeed!!!!
I am looking forward to experiment with the Berlin Restaurant, hopefully I order one of their signature dishes to want to return. :-)

You will get better quickly now, since you know which foods to avoid to make your immune system kick in to heal you faster, as by our phone conversation.

Live is good when one has good friends, I love getting up in the morning and thinking about my monthly high tea affairs, and your wonderful group gatherings, and my personal friends. All the rest of the more serious side of life eventually always falls in place.

Dear Trudy It's so true we are all spoiled by mass choices of food.i for one hate most buffets always walk away disappointed with the taste .i love good restaurants. Where the food is prepared one on one ,but a lot of my members do not go to the better places to eat many cannot afford it .that is why I do a lot of functions at my home theme ones .i found the Berlin restaurant very good not as good as what I ate in Germany or Vienna but a ok dinner I didn't send any thing back and I would never go back again if it was not ok.i am still sick with this horrible bug it's been 10 days .but I am looking forward to seeing you next week I missed u

    Dear Mr. Sanchez:
I hear your pain, world travelers like you usually know what they are talking about. I live here since 1977, you don't wanna know what the food was like way back then. I actually see a lot of improvement from back then.
Look at it this way, nothing tastes like food from back home, and that surely goes for everyone who came from other countries. Leaving the homeland has its price in more ways than one and darn it, we have to deal with it, I know.
The best solution is to cook with friends or family and go out only every once in a while, which has been my solution for the longest time already, otherwise everything begins to taste the same.
Keep on traveling, you are lucky if you can do that, then you have the best thing of all worlds! Variety - variety - variety galore!
Keep on enjoying life to the fullest and see the best in all things, then you are wealthy beyond all dreams, but you know that!
    Cheers, Trudy****

Thank you for the comment, what can I say? Viva Las Vegas, money is KING! If they would have gaming, I guess more bread would be served free. Here is your answer: In Europe you have to pay for every roll in a restaurant. They did not only import their menu but also their ways of charging. Not so welcome in Las Vegas, or anywhere in this country, I know.
We are spoiled by casono buffets, which is why most of us love the Bellagio and other nice places like that. So, we can only get together and cook German foods ourselves. That would work! :-)
    Nice chatting with you.

Hi Virginia: This was the same problem with the German Restaurant on Paradise Rd. by the Hilton hotel many years ago. You and I know authentic German food.
I have never been to the Berlin Restaurant, this willl be interesting. We also have the Hofbrauhaus of course. I like some of the meals there.
