New Meetup: The Power of Cod Liver Oil

From: Jill
Sent on: Tuesday, November 16, 2010 10:30 AM
Announcing a new Meetup for Greater Chicago Area Whole Food Nutrition Meetup Group!

What: The Power of Cod Liver Oil

When: Saturday, February 12,[masked]:00 PM

Price: $6.00 per person

Where: Christian Community Church
2135 W. Wilson Ave. (and Hamilton)
Chicago, IL 60625

Cod Liver Oil is a nourishing traditional food in many western cultures. It is rich in vitamins A and D and, of course, in essential omega-3 fatty acids. Most fish oils on the market are heat-treated at very high temperatures and undergo other processing such as solvent and bleach treatments. In addition, because vitamins A and D need to be in the correct ratio, many producers will add synthetic versions of these vitamins in order to achieve this ratio (because most of the vitamins are destroyed during processing).

Dave Wetzel of Green Pasture will present on the benefits and nutrient content of naturally fermented cod liver oil and will discuss the history of cod liver oil. He also will have all of their products on hand at a steep discount (especially for those paying cash). If you have ever wanted to try cod liver oil, this is your chance to get the information and to buy the best product on the market at a good discount (no I don't own stock in this company or benefit in any way, I just think it's great stuff!).
