As you are likely aware, the 4th of July is Independence Day in America - the most important national holiday across the border!
Baseball has always been America's national pasttime, so what better way to mark the occasion than to play some fun co-ed softball on that Friday night! Bring your softballs, gloves (an extra one if you have one) and bats!
Free of charge!
We'll play at Riverdale Park, which is one of the most beautiful parks in all of Toronto. They have two baseball diamonds, multiple sport fields and a beautiful view of the Toronto skyline.
We will meet at 7:30 PM in the park, where the Dr. Sun Yat Sen monument is. Dr. Sun Yat Sen, who went to high school in Hawaii (the same high school as President Obama), is known as the Founding Father of Modern China. In 1911, he ended imperial rule with dreams of a modern democracy. Riverdale Park is known as Chinatown East and there is a dignified monument of him there, which is a good place to meet.
We'll play for about 2 hours until 9:30 PM. Afterwards, if people are hungry, we can go for food after :-)
Let's play ball!!!
