What we're about

We are all different racially, socially, sexually, and economically, but we are committed to loving one another and the world around us. And we welcome anyone who can embrace that cause. While not all of us are Christian, we all believe the church needs to escape its walls and redefine itself as a missional, community.

We want to meet and build relationships with people in the Midwest City community, get to know them, and get feedback on our vision for a new church plant in the area. We meet at least twice a month around food, drinks, conversation, and the command of Jesus to love others the way he loved us.

We are family-friendly, though these meetups don't have separate activities for kids.

Real Talk Supper Club

S&B Burgers

The group will meet online this Thursday at 6:30 PM (bring your own supper and drinks). During this down time, they are discussing the book, When Helping Hurts. They read a chapter and reflect on the questions at the end of the chapter (though the discussion sometimes takes a turn). If you need the book, let us know. If you don't have time to read the book, that's ok. You're opinion still matters and we'd love to have you in the group. The meeting happens through the Zoom teleconferencing app, which is a super-fast download if you've never used it before. To join the meeting, click the following on Thursday night https://zoom.us/j/8721750148 WHAT IT WAS BEFORE COVID-19: Eat. Drink. Talk. Or a combination of the three. HOW TO FIND: The group doesn't have an official table at the restaurant, but you can ask the host or look for the above logo on the table. Also, let us know you're coming so we can watch for you. HOW IT USUALLY HAPPENS 6:30-7 PM - This is mostly social time, meeting each other, getting to know one another, catching up, ordering food, prayer requests, etc. 7-8 PM = By this time, the topic of the day has been introduced by whoever is leading the discussion along with any opening information. Often questions are asked to direct the conversation. 8-8:10 PM = The conversation is drawn to a close and the conversation leader and topic for the following week is selected.
