Last summer, we read two great Dostoevsky novels: Notes From Underground and Crime and Punishment.  Yesterday's New York Times published an op-ed column that referred to another, and maybe the greatest, Dostoevsky classic - The Brothers Karamazov - in the context of the recent atrocities in Connecticut. 

Yet another reason why we will someday read that superb novel in our group, and why I regard the great Russians as among the most profound of writers.­
