What do you like most about creating games?

All good games start with a good story. A virtual world, no matter how technically perfect or advanced, will feel hollow and half-finished, without compelling characters, history, mythology, and plot.

How would you describe your level of experience in game development?

I've worked on a handful of independent projects (mainly single-player RPG MODs) in the very early stages of world building, character development, and story arc plotting.

Is game creation something you do for fun, or is it more of a professional interest? Please describe.

Up till now my professional career in technology has been focused on security, electronic banking, and e-commerce.

What part of game dev are you most into? Programming, animating, AI, 3D modeling, marketing, etc?

World-building, story development, character creation, etc, (all the 'soft', writerly parts that lay down the game world's foundation).

Introduction

I'm a 15-year cyber security veteran in the online banking and financial services industry and a life-long gamer. I'm also a novelist and short story author.
