What do you like most about creating games?

Story, story, mechanics, THEN graphics. I love a game with a great story.

How would you describe your level of experience in game development?

Close to none. BUT, I know how to code, and I can write a mean story. Time is an issue, and I am a perfectionist. A game that I would be willing to play would take me at least a year. I am in the process of making a simple 2D game, and that is still proving to be quite a challenge to find time to work.

Is game creation something you do for fun, or is it more of a professional interest? Please describe.

Fun things will always be what I spend my time doing. Lucky for me, I can have fun while I work :)

What part of game dev are you most into? Programming, animating, AI, 3D modeling, marketing, etc?

Gaming information is actually what I am most interested in. Companies like IGN, Game Informer, G4, etc.. have the most exciting jobs in my opinion. Though, all aspects of gaming are fun to me.

Hey everyone. My name is Ryan. I am a 22 year old computer science major on a quest for knowledge. Video games are my passion, and a position at IGN is the goal. I look forward to making some lasting connections and hopefully friendships here.
