Video game sales by state?

Steve C.

Does anyone happen to know any statistics on video game sales by state? Please send links if you have any, as I couldn't find this data.

If Ohio was a top buyer of video games, that could make an interesting case for developing games here to be closer to your fan base (for indie developers at least).

I know Major League Gaming had a big event here in Ohio, so I'm assuming that's a good indicator that there are lots of players here.

Edit: Haha, as soon as I posted this I searched for "where do most gamers live" and found this nice article:

Ohio has 3 of the top 40 cities buying video games, Cincinnati coming in at number 8.
