New person with many questions

Hello To All,

I am just beginning my education into programming and to game development in general. And to paraphrase Eric Raymond “Ask early. Ask often. And listen to your responders.”

As I have been developing my foundation I have a few questions for which I have just not been able to get answers from the web.

There are 4 things I am curious about..
1) IDEs and especially Code::Blocks
2) Node based 3d terrain engines using tiles
3) CPU Blitters
4) Combining C++ with Python or converting C++ to Python

To quote Eric again “Every good work of software starts by scratching a developer's personal itch” at this point it is I who has developed an itch and I hope to convince some talented people to join me it scratching it.

I do believe that there are some who will enjoy sharing their thoughts and knowledge with me and I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
Bill

You've got a good list of topics there, but you may want to think like the TV show Jeopardy and rephrase these in the form of questions :)
What ABOUT Code::Blocks are you wishing to know? There are jillions of tutorials for it on youtube:

Well my goal was to let people know that I have a conversations worth of questions and I was hoping there would be those interested in an email exchange or even an IM conversation.

As a matter of fact rather than give an explanation to my question a developer over at Code::Blocks suggested I was not qualified to play in the C++ sandbox and that I should go use Python.

So I will take your advice and make a new posting, and see where it leads.

Thanks.
