Join me at another trashy event. This hike welcomes beginners - because if you can't keep up we'll catch you on the way back! The crowds of "sometime" hikers that hit the easy tourist trails at Heublein Tower leave a bit of litter behind.
Come on out after work and pick up trash with me. Likely that we'll work up an appetite and go out for a bit after a couple hours of trash pickin'.
Leave work a little early today and join in a 5:15 start time. We'll work for two hours - while getting in a quick after work hike! We will take the side hiking trail up (near the caves) and return down on the "dirt road" used by the less hearty tourists. The first one to fill their trash bag wins!
Please bring work gloves and at least one heavy duty trash bag. Please wear a stripe on your shirt made from orange (or florescent yellow) duct tape.
Leashed dogs and vaccinated cats are welcome at this outing.
Apres-outing: As always, we will follow the hike/clean-up with a social outing. Most likely Abigail's just down the road in Simsbury.
