The Connection & Resilience Circle is a group designed to offer its members both simple human connection (hanging with friends, essentially) and support (to those wrestling with one or more of the difficulties life often throws our way).
So if you'd simply like to connect with other kind humans in our increasingly-isolating society and/or are facing relationship difficulties, dealing with a divorce, battling ageism in the job market, wrestling with melancholy, etc., please join us.
Anyone and everyone is welcome.
Well, almost everyone. This is a group for kind and compassionate human beings. Because who wants to hang out with people who aren't kind and compassionate? You might be lonely, sad, or even angry at your situation. You might simply want some cool people to have a beer with. But whatever else you might be, please do not join this group if you are not a kind and compassionate human.
The world is elevated by kind, caring people. And it's diminished by those who are uncaring.
The focus on kindness here helps to ensure that the new friends you meet in this group will be the kind of caring friends we all prefer.
Initial plans are for the group to meet periodically at the Union. And to have group members design the group's activities in a way that members actually want to attend regularly and really get to know one another.
If this description resonates with you and hanging with a group like this sounds like a cool way to spend some time, we hope you’ll join us!
