Fall Version: Return to New York City for HDR (+B&H visit & food too!)

We will meet at The Guggenheim Museum for some exterior architectural shots and after head south to Central Park to shot the Belvedere Castle and other sights in the park.  Here is the agenda for the rest of the day.

It is a pretty ambitious route and I doubt we will make it to everything that is listed.  I will try to keep the group moving along so we don't spend too much time at one location. The last stop will be The Brooklyn Bridge and "The Sticks" and I hope to make it there by Sunset.

Most of these locations are for external shots of the buildings.  We won't have enough time to wait in line at places like
The Empire State building and The WTC. Grand Central Terminal (GCT) will be a location that we will spend sometime inside of.  They don't allow tripods but there are some places to steady your camera on.

In the past The Apple Store in GCT has been very friendly to photogs but I hear that just depends on the day. :)

And of course you are welcome to deviate from this schedule and do your own thing.  I will post our cell phone numbers so you can find us if you need to. We will use a combination of subway, taxis and our feet to get around.

I'm looking forward to a seeing everybody and a having a great shoot.

More details to follow. Feel free to offer suggestions!

Be prepared to do a lot of walking. Our aim is to get to as many sites as possible so the pace may be brisk at times. We will break for lunch and dinner. Plan to travel to NY by whatever means you are comfortable with.....car, train, bus, etc. Once the sites and routes have been planned, we will designate a meetup spot for Saturday morning and a final spot to conclude with in the evening. For those deciding to spend the night, we will be making a trek to B&H Photo on Sunday morning for those that are interested.

If you like gritty/industrial - Five Pointz in Queens is going to be torn down soon - graffiti plus industrial area under the elevated subway.
Chelsea by the waterfront - 10th and 11th Avenue - has great river views plus the industrial areas of the old piers.
