Dear Democratic Women of Forsyth County,

As 2016 comes to a close, we will be holding our last meeting for the year, electing a new board, and celebrating the holidays!   We'll be talking about the disappointing election, and sharing ideas about what we can do to promote our Democratic ideals locally.

The term for the current Board Members is coming to an end next month and the DWFC needs members to step forward and volunteer to form the next Board.
Without member participation and an active board, the organization will have to fold.

All positions are open and for a 2-year term.  The positions and their duties are:

l> Keep a copy of the current by-laws

> Send monthly treasurer's report to the Secretary to distribute to the membership

> Render an itemized statement of accounting at monthly meetings

> Prepare and present Income and Expense  year-to-date statements at quarterly board meetings along with supporting documentation

Maris Diamond has volunteered to be our nominating committee.  If you are interested in running for office, please email Maris at [masked] and let her know which position you are interested in.  Maris will present the nominees at our December meeting.

This last meeting of 2016 will be held on Thursday, December 8th, in the private room at Zoe's Kitchen (left side, back of the restaurant, enclosed in glass), at The Collection (between Mellow Mushroom and Barnes and Noble, facing Chik-Fil-A).  We start mingling at 6:30, but the actual meeting does not begin until 7 PM.  Please note that Zoe's Kitchen has vegetarian and meat entrees and serves wine and beer.

Please help keep our organization going and volunteer for the next DWFC board!

Regards,

Your Current DWFC Board

Hi Jean, No gifts or ornaments. There isn't enough time really for people to get something together. We are going to focus on the officer election.

Is there anything that makes this a holiday meeting such as a gift or ornament exchange? I remember we talked about that at our last meeting in October.
